    Calling all previous DroneTogether pilots! This fast-paced flying camp is for all our past students who are ready to take the next step with their flying skills. Each day will offer our young flyers a chance to challenge their skills in a variety of fun and engaging activities. Many of the kids' favorite activities from previous classes will be included, but pilots in the advanced camp can expect to see more of the larger drones, some videography practice, competitive races, team challenges, flying adventures and more.   • Chen Style Taichi 18 Form

    Chen Style Taichi 18 Form is a short form for new students or advanced students who have some background in martial arts or other Taichi styles. The form is usually taught in two sections; the first section has 10 movements, and the second section has 8 movements. This class is a great entry point for people who want to progress to learn the Chen Old 1st Frame long form in the future. This class is taught once a week for two semesters. Each semester is approximately 3 months long, with a short break between semesters. After completing this course, students should be able to practice on their own. Instructor, Ming Xie, has been training and teaching Tai Chi for over 30 years. Her unique teaching method attracts a variety of people from all walks of life.

  • Driver Education - Live In-Person

    The comprehensive driver education course includes 32 hours of classroom instruction as well as 7 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and 7 hours of observation with a licensed instructor. All classroom teachers and driving instructors are NEISD employees who are licensed by the state to instruct driver education. Students will additionally need to complete 30 hours of driving with their parent. Our 7-Step Program Flyer and FAQ can be found by clicking this link. The posted schedule is for the completion of the classroom instruction only, which is completed in person. On the 4th day of classroom instruction, students will be provided the certificate to obtain their permit. Once their permit is obtained, students will have access to our behind-the-wheel scheduling system, which allows them to select available drives at their convenience. Scheduling behind-the-wheel is completed by the parent and student. When registering for the comprehensive course, please make sure to complete and return the contract by/on the first day of instruction. Students must be 15 on or before the first day of class.     DroneTogether is bringing an exhilarating and innovative summer camp to North East ISD this summer. Come have fun spending time in one of the fastest growing spaces in technology - drone flying. All flying abilities are welcome, as we build on basic flying skills to advance to more challenging and exciting opportunities. Some of the opportunities include tricks, obstacles, team challenges, flying adventures and drone racing. All activities are designed to be collaborative, fun and safe and students need to use their creativity to solve problems and create structures throughout the camp. Come see what all the buzz is about and join us as we zoom, flip and soar our way through an exciting week of learning.   • Fall 2023 - Spring 2024: Driver Education - Self-Paced

    You are registering for the self-paced option. The classroom portion will be done online and the in-car portion will be in-person. NEISD will send you login information - only purchase through neisd.ce.eleyo.com. You must register an email address or you will not receive any login information. Register now for a blended online driver education class through NEISD. Students will receive 32 hours of online, self-paced classroom instruction through our partner, Aceable, as well as seven hours of behind-the-wheel driving and seven hours of observation with a certified driving instructor. Our 6-step Program Flyer and FAQ can be found here when you click this link. The classroom portion is all done online, while all in-car training is scheduled individually by the student once the permit is obtained. Drives are scheduled from the NEISD high schools as well as the NEISD Community Learning Center. The transfer DE-964 certificate will be available to you in your Aceable profile after all 32 hours are completed. You must send that certificate to driversedu@neisd.net AND have your permit in order to be eligible to drive with the instructors. Students must be at least 15 years old before class begins. The Driver Education contract found here must be filled out, signed by both parent and student, then submitted to the Driver Education office before the class begins. We must have a contract on file before we issue your login information. Students have 9 months from date of registration to complete the driving component of this course. No refunds will be issued after the login information is issued. Login information and instructions will be sent via email to the address on file the day the course is scheduled to begin.
