    The NEISD Community Learning Center is an approved Driver's Education program regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Both in-person and online Driver's Education programs include 32 hours of classroom instruction, 7 hours of behind-the-wheel driving, and 7 hours of observation. Click on each option to learn more!
  • Clinical Medical Assistant

    CALRegional, in partnership with NEISD Community Education, provides busy adults with fast and affordable healthcare training programs. Clinical Medical Assistant Program The Clinical Medical Assistant Program helps students acquire practical knowledge and specialized skill for clinical care and administrative tasks within a medical facility. Become certified as an entry-level clinical medical assistant in as little as 8 weeks for $2,495 or less. Our Adult Education department also offers scholarships for those who qualify! Easy payment plans are available. Everyone qualifies. Convenient day and evening classes are available. Must be 18 years or older and have your GED, diploma, or equivalent. No previous medical experience is required.   • Driver Education

    As young adults approach driving age, the quality of their driver education program becomes critical. Courses taught by qualified professionals are vital. They place a well-balanced emphasis on driver performance, making accurate decisions based on perception and appropriate behavior at a time when students are just beginning to drive. The Teen Driver Education program includes: 32 hours of classroom instruction (in-person or online), 7 hours of instructor-led driving, and 7 hours of observation driving. We are certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

  • Incurred Fees - Schedule2Drive/Certificates

    This section is only to pay fees for your driver's education program that incurred on Schedule2Drive or to request a Duplicate Certificate. Do not sign up for this if you do not have any fees. You are able to pay for multiple fees during checkout by increasing the quantity. Your Schedule2Drive account will be updating in 24 hours after payment. You may also call (210) 407-0162 to make a payment. An Eleyo account is required (you may opt out of marketing emails).
  • Kids' Camps

    NEISD Kids’ Camp It's summer time! Come join us for our summer Kids’ Camp at either Thousand Oaks Elementary, Oak Meadow Elementary, Roan Forest Elementary, or Las Lomas Elementary. Kids’ Camp will host the same summer camp program at four different elementary schools. Camps offers full-day programs for participants currently in prekindergarten through 6th grade. Campers enjoy fun-filled days of enrichment activities, outdoor play, arts and crafts, robotics, and more! Each week is planned around a special theme that is incorporated into our planned activities. Activities are led by NEISD-trained employees who are ready to make a positive impact on your child’s life. Meals: Camp provides a small morning and afternoon snack. Roan Forest Elementary and Las Lomas Elementary camp locations: Campers must bring lunch and a reusable water bottle. Thousand Oaks Elementary and Oak Meadow Elementary camp locations: School Nutrition will be providing breakfast and lunch from June 10th to July 26th. Campers must bring a reusable water bottle Withdrawals/Refunds: “If you are unable to attend the camp session, we are happy to refund tuition, less a 5% processing fee, when you cancel your camp session a week before the camp starts. Online Medical Billing & Coding Specialist Program Held 100% online, the Medical Billing & Coding Specialist Program is designed to help students master the skills necessary to manage health information. Become certified as a medical billing and coding specialist in as little as 11 weeks for $1,995 or less. Easy payment plans are available. Everyone qualifies. Convenient day and evening classes are available. Must be 18 years or older and have your GED, diploma, or equivalent. No previous medical experience is required.   • Medication Aide

    The NEISD Medication Aide Certification Program for Certified Nurses Aides is a Texas Health and Human Services approved training program. This course meets the required 140 hours, and students take the state examination at the program's conclusion. Class runs on Tuesday and Thursday from 9AM - 1PM at the NEISD Community Learning Center. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be employed as certified nurse aides listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry in active status and currently employed in a facility licensed under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 242 on class start date or employed on class start date as non-licensed direct care staff in a facility licensed under Chapter 247; a state supported living center or ICF/IID and have 90 days previous employment in the year preceding the class start date. A high school diploma or GED/HSE Social Security Card State Photo ID Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Pharmacy Technician

    This comprehensive 50 hour program will prepare students to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Course content includes: pharmacy medical terminology, the history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in multiple environments, pharmacy calculations and measurements, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Through classroom lecture and hands on labs, students will review dosage calculations, drug classifications, the “top 200 drugs”, I.V. flow rates, sterile compounding, dose conversions, aseptic technique, the handling of sterile products, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. National Certification: This program meets the necessary requirements to take the Pharmacy Technician Certified Board (PTCB) – Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) exam. Clinical Externship: As part of this Pharmacy Technician program, you will be eligible to participate in an 80 hour clinical externship.
