As young adults approach driving age, the quality of their driver education program becomes critical. Courses taught by qualified professionals are vital. They place a well-balanced emphasis on driver performance, making accurate decisions based on perception and appropriate behavior at a time when students are just beginning to drive. The Teen Driver Education program includes: 32 hours of classroom instruction (in-person or online), 7 hours of instructor-led driving, and 7 hours of observation driving. We are certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

This is a pilot program for a few select locations to provide care for NEISD Employee children. If you are not a NEISD Employee, please do not register.

Come join us at our NEISD Kids’ Camp. Come join us at the North East Community Learning Center for our 2022 Fall Kids’ Camps. Camp sessions are open to students who have completed Kinder thru 6th grade. Each camper will experience a new adventure as each week is planned around a theme. Campers are challenged with fun, safe, and engaging activities each day. Activities are led by NEISD-KIN trained employees who are ready to make a positive impact in your child’s life. This comprehensive 50 hour program will prepare students to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Course content includes: pharmacy medical terminology, the history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in multiple environments, pharmacy calculations and measurements, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Through classroom lecture and hands on labs, students will review dosage calculations, drug classifications, the “top 200 drugs”, I.V. flow rates, sterile compounding, dose conversions, aseptic technique, the handling of sterile products, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. National Certification: This program meets the necessary requirements to take the Pharmacy Technician Certified Board (PTCB) – Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) exam. Clinical Externship: As part of this Pharmacy Technician program, you will be eligible to participate in an 80 hour clinical externship. Summer Extended Care is dedicated to providing students with a safe and enriching environment after Summer School. Students will participate in activities designed to engage and promote additional learning for the upcoming school year. The Community Learning Center offers programs to train you to get into the Workforce. We have various of programs including Medication Aide, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Pharmacy Technician, and EKG Technician.
