The primary goal of Hill Country Karate instructors is to develop students mentally as well as physically by focusing on attitude, respect and discipline. $ 40 uniform fee.   • Karate Camp by Hill Country Karate

    HCK Summer Camp will include techniques for beginners, light contact point sparring (tag), training in traditional safety weapons and principles of falling and rolling from Judo. Monday/Tuesday of the week will focus on the beginner techniques that our students learn as white belts. Wednesday class will concentrate on the sport application of these techniques through point sparring with all safety equipment being supplied for the students. Thursday will include training with various traditional martial arts weapons like bo staff, nun chucks, short sword and Kama (sickle) with weapons made of polypropylene plastic for safety. Friday will be spent learning the art of correct falling and rolling with a few basic sweeps from the sport of Judo. These camps are high energy and fast paced learning environments that provide children with a broad introduction to sport martial arts. Every participant that completes the entire week will receive a certificate of rank from Hill Country Karate that will allow them to join our normal fall classes hosted within the school district at the rank of Yellow belt.     Hill Country Karate is a community sponsored program which teaches American karate in a positive, professional manner. The primary goal of Hill Country Karate instructors is to develop students mentally as well as physically by focusing on attitude, respect and discipline. Give your child the best chance to succeed with our Kids Martial Arts Classes. We're helping children ages 5-12 stay active and have a blast learning the basics of martial arts training. There's nothing more important than teaching your child how to be respectful of others and confident in themselves. There's no better way to build confidence than through accomplishment and our Kids Martial Arts progression system sets your child up for success from day one - regardless of their age or experience level. A uniform is required for this class and is available through the instructor for a fee of $40.00. Additionally students will need a mouthguard and boys will need a cup and supporter for weeks 5-8 of class. For questions on requirements please reach out to the HCK office at 830-629-6686.
